Dreams

Dreams

by William Karry Kent

You color my dreams with laughter

you give comfort as I sleep

your smile, your touch refresh my heart

my eyes never again will weep

Your soft whisper soothes my soul

like a calm breeze on the sea

and tickles me like magic

as you lay softly next to me

yes, time tiptoes along the beach

and brings us closer I believe

softly, gently caressed by you

my heart is now set free

I taste your lips as of honey

I am wrapped in the warmth you give

yes to know the fullness that engulfs us

in time will grow and live

yes, you color my dream with laughter

you give comfort as I sleep

But when I awake and realize it’s just a dream

my heart just wants to weep.
